In the past, wide-range telephoto zoom lenses have been long and heavy, making them difficult to handle.

The new 75-300mm lens is over 7% smaller than the previous EF 75-300mm lens, providing good results with hand-held camera.

The lens is 122mm long, with a maximum diameter of 71mm and a weight of 495g. The closest focusing distance is 1.5 metres. The lens accepts 58mm filters.
