Similar to the EF 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 V USM lens, but uses a DC motor for the AF-driving actuator, in place of the quieter, faster micro-USM. Both lenses have the same optical system as the EF 28-80mm f3.5-5.6 IV USM and give a similar optical performance.
