EF 20-35mm f2.8L

introduced 1989

The EF 20-35mm f2.8L is a large aperture wide-angle zoom lens with high brightness and optical performance on a par with signal focal length lenses. It features an aspherical lens element for high resolution images with minimal distortion and employs a floating system to provide improved image quality especially at close shooting distances.

The manual focusing and zooming rings are optimally located to provide good overall weight balance and easy operation. The manual focusing ring especially has been designed for the professional and advanced amateur, featuring smooth, positive manual focus operation.

As the front of the lens does not rotate during focusing or zooming, filters such as polarisers can be easily used. Lens construction is 15 elements in 12 groups (including one aspherical element) and minimum aperture is F22. Filter size is 72mm and dimensions are 89.0 x 79.2mm (weight 540g).
