TECHNOLOGIES
This document explains new technologies not found in predecessor models
24.2 Megapixel APS-C sensor
Both the EOS 760D and EOS 750D feature a new Canon 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor, with ISO 100-12,800 sensitivity for superb quality, high resolution images. The sensor provides low-noise and exceptional levels of detail when shooting in low-light conditions. Low-noise performance means that when shooting with higher ISO speeds the resolution is not compromised, and enables images to be printed at large sizes, or cropped for alternative compositions without losing quality.
Hybrid CMOS AF III
Designed and manufactured by Canon to work in combination with its own image processors, Canon’s CMOS technology integrates advanced noise reduction circuitry at each pixel site, delivering virtually noise-free images. In comparison with CCD technology, the lower power consumption characteristics of Canon’s CMOS sensors also contribute to longer battery life.
The EOS 760D and EOS 750D feature a new Hybrid CMOS AF III autofocus system that allows for smooth focus tracking when shooting Full HD movies. This ensures that subjects will always look sharp, even when moving around the frame. The Vari-Angle touchscreen can be used to pull focus from one subject to another and to track subjects easily. The EOS 760D is recommended to be used alongside Canon STM lenses which offer smooth, quiet focusing to produce truly cinematic looking movies.

Canon launches the EOS 760D and EOS 750D
Canon today unveils two impressive DSLRs in its entry-level EOS line-up – the EOS 760D and EOS 750D – designed to help those with a creative eye reach the next level in their photography. The EOS 750D is the ideal DSLR if you’re looking to capture stunning images and Full HD movies of special memories, with the assurance of automatic shooting modes - while the EOS 760D gives enthusiast photographers more creative freedom and manual controls to instinctively create impactful photography.
Stunning quality photography with every shot
Both cameras make it easier than ever to capture your favourite moments in the quality they deserve – with vibrant colour, sharp focus and rich detail – using the powerful new 24.2MP sensor and Canon’s DIGIC 6 image processor. Thanks to the ISO 100-12,800 range the EOS 760D and EOS 750D deliver detailed results whatever light you’re shooting in, be it dawn or dusk, or even indoors. In addition, Flicker Detection technology, first found in the EOS 7D Mark II, provides consistently exposed images under artificial light for even greater flexibility.
Enjoy capturing your favourite action moments using the camera’s five frames per second continuous shooting mode, which makes sure that split second action is always caught on camera. The EOS 760D and EOS 750D ensure pin-sharp focus precision, with a powerful 19 cross-type AF point system adapting to any composition, whether it’s shooting fast moving animals on safari, or action packed adventure sports.
Capture your world in movies
Amateur filmmakers can shoot their memories as movies in stunning Full HD resolution and in MP4 format for easy online sharing. You can make sure your subjects are always in focus with advanced Hybrid CMOS AF III providing the ability to track or swap focus, while compatibility with STM lenses provides silent, smooth focusing for supreme accuracy and speed. The EOS 760D also gives budding videographers a host of additional creative movie modes, which makes creating unique footage easy. Shoot atmospheric movies, with detail in both the shadows and highlights with HDR movie mode, or instantly create the effect of professional tilt-shift lenses with Miniature Effect.
Control and creativity at your fingertips
The EOS 760D and EOS 750D’s powerful specifications are packed into expertly engineered compact bodies, with an ergonomic grip and Vari-Angle LCD for easy handling in all situations. Take over the shooting functions with full manual control giving you the freedom to dictate your own creative shooting style. The EOS 760D allows photographers to be more considered with their settings with conveniently placed controls, usually found in Canon’s enthusiast EOS models, including the rear Quick Control Dial, top LCD panel and Intelligent Viewfinder for quick access and review of both settings and images.
As soon as you pick up either camera you can start shooting confidently, with automatic shooting modes ensuring you get the best results every time. Make your pictures stand out from the crowd with a range of easy-to-use, one touch shooting modes and creative filters.
