The RPS is almost as old as photography itself. Although based in the UK, it has a worldwide membership and is open to anyone with an interest in photography. It offers distinctions, usually awarded for a submitted portfolio of work, allowing the use of LRPS, ARPS or FRPS after the photographer's name.
