Camera Raw support for EOS 400D

The Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw plug-in provides fast and easy access to Canon's RAW image formats. By working with these 'digital negatives', you can achieve the results you want with greater artistic control and flexibility while still maintaining the original RAW files.

Support for the EOS 400D has been added to Camera Raw 3.6 Public Beta. As the name indicates, this is a beta version, which means that it is still being tested. If you don't need EOS 400D compatibility, you should use the latest certified version - Camera Raw 3.5. This is compatible with the following EOS models:
EOS 1D
EOS 1D Mark II
EOS 1D Mark II N
EOS 1Ds
EOS 1Ds Mark II
EOS 5D
EOS 10D
EOS 20D
EOS 20Da
EOS 30D
EOS 300D (Digital Rebel/Kiss Digital)
EOS 350D (Digital Rebel XT/EOS Kiss Digital N)
EOS D30
EOS D60

For further information and downloads go to Adobe downloads and click on Adobe Photoshop Updates (under the Digital Imaging heading near the bottom of the list). This will give you the option of WIN (Windows) or MAC (Macintosh) system updates - both the Camera Raw 3.5 update and the 3.6 Beta update. You need Adobe Photoshop CS2 to use the Camera Raw plug-in.

EOS 30D firmware update

Firmware for the EOS 30D has been updated to version 1.0.5.

This firmware update incorporates the following additional functions and corrections.:
1. When making camera-direct prints, a semi-gloss paper can be newly selected in the camera settings.
2. Corrects the phenomenon wherein the displayed number of continuous shots that can be taken increases when images that have been taken are deleted.

This firmware update applies to cameras with firmware versions up to 1.0.4 installed. If your camera's firmware is already version 1.0.5, it is not necessary to perform this update.

To download the update, and for full installation instructions, go to EOS firmware downoad
