The world's first camera with eye-contolled focus (though this only operates with camera in horizontal format). Other features include 16-zone exposure sensor, 1/8000 second shutter speed, 5 fps from built-in motor drive and 16 Custom Functions. An almost-professional SLR. Quartz Date version available (sold as standard in Japan).

The EOS A2 is the same camera without eye-controlled focus (only sold in the USA).
