This versatile remote device allows you to fire your camera's shutter from a distance up to 80 metres. It provides wireless radio control (not infrared) that can operate through walls and windows.

The receiver unit fits the hotshoe bracket, or will hang loose if you need to attach a Speedlite. It has a short cable that plugs into the camera remote control terminal. The pack includes two connectors so that the accessory can be used with different models of EOS cameras (see below).

With your camera fixed to a tripod or a support you can use the transmitter to photograph birds or wildlife in your garden.

Would you like to take a self-portrait? The Hahnel Pro Remote transmitter includes a 4-second delay switch, allowing you to press the button and quickly hide the remote and smile!

The receiver has a built-in firing button - this means that it can also act as a remote switch when the camera is on a tripod. Connect the receiver to the remote terminal of the camera, but do not attach it to the hotshoe. Pressing the button will fire the shutter without the need to touch the camera, reducing the risk of camera shake.

The firing buttons on the receiver and transmitter provide autofocus before shutter release.

A four-digit code selector switch built into the transmitter and receiver allow individual codes to be set. This allows several receivers to be used in the same area with firing only from matching transmitters.

The remote operates on a frequency of 433MHz. This is a licence-free frequency in all European countries, approved under EEC/DEC (0402).
