Increase the power to your camera with this battery grip. The stylish and ergonomic design of the grip also improves the handling of your camera by lowering the point of gravity. When using the grip with two Li-ion batteries the available power is approximately doubled for

longer, uninterrupted camera use. For maximum efficiency, built-in power management regulates the power output to the camera. One or two Li-ion battery packs can be used. Selected models allow a choice of battery types to be used. Where relevant, the use of Li-ion or AA batteries is detected automatically. The models designed to fit the EOS 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 450D, 500D and 1000D also offer two additional and very useful features. First, they include a vertical shutter release, making

shooting with the camera in a vertical position just as comfortable as shooting horizontally. Second, models in this range feature an integrated infrared remote receiver. The infrared remote supplied with every model of Hähnel

battery grip gives the added benefit of a remote control facility to EOS cameras without a built-in system. The battery grip for the EOS 350D and 400D is supplied with an infrared remote that is compatible with the camera’s built-in infrared receiver and operates up to a distance of 12 metres. The remote provides autofocus before shutter release and continuous shutter release or bulb function for as long as the button remains pressed.

Batteries are not supplied with any of the Hähnel grips.
